Siege beacons are a more powerful version of the Markerlight signal device. A siege beacon consists of an 8 inch crystal attached by a bronze ferrule to a four and a half foot long shaft with a sharpened steel tip. The beacon is designed to be rammed into the ground tip first into the ground and activated by twisting the ferrule. The siege beacon projects a column of light visible from up to 9 miles away in clear conditions. These beacons are generally used to signal target zones to heavy craft such as Supermonitors and Drogues from long distances.
